Early sneak previews of the Dec 22 episode...Roloffs lose a dear friend

There is an early sneak preview of the much anticipated episode on Monday Dec 22 at 8pm dealing with Mike's passing.

In this scene, Zach talks about what Mike has meant to him as a soccer coach. I assume the first part of the episode will deal with how important Mike is in the lives of the Roloffs and the second episode will be about his passing.

Amy's sad phone call:

The family talks about Mike's passing. Molly says Jeremy took it the hardest. He's distraught blankly looking at the floor in his room.

Coping with Mike's passing. Amy mentions that Jeremy cried very hard for a very long time. She was concerned about Jacob because he's not very expressive. It's very emotional when Amy says "He was just there every time I needed him."

This preview seems out of place considering...there was a scheduled house-warming party that turned into a time to reflect on Mike's life. Zach comments that the new house seems like a hotel.

Matt's very touching housewarming speech turns to Mike...

Wow, Jer looked depressed.
Amy is right about Jake. He should show his emotions.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but is it just me or does Jeremy look like he's smiling in his interview? He looks like he's trying not to laugh.

Thank you for posting these previews. I am crying and I know its going to be a tough episode to watch. My heart broke esp for Jeremy and Matt who was breaking down.

Jeremy is not smiling as you would think. People react differently and I know I smile when I am upset. Its not that there happy, its just a way of coping. I thought he looked quite upset, and they said he is taking it very hard.
GOD bless the roloffs.

I think Jeremy burped or farted in the interview. Listen closely around "happen". He could be smiling because of that and it happened on camera.

I don't think he was smiling out of disrespect. Some people make different expressions when upset.

Degrassi is right. I feel bad for talking about it, but it explains why Jeremy smiled. You can hear the sound after Jeremy said "happen". It might have been his stomach growling.

It sort of ruined his interview. Why couldn't he have given another one or continued talking? The sound is why Jeremy looks way, not because he was about to cry.

I think he was upset, but it too bad his interview was interrupted.

Roxanne maybe he will give another interview or a voice over like Zach did. We will just have to see.

I think it was because of the noise. I doubt he was smiling out of disrespect. Amy and Molly said he took it the hardest and cried a long time. If he didn't care about Mike I don't think he would have been that upset.

Some people think Jeremy in his room was staged but I think it was real. He looked really sad/depressed almost lost.

I think he was just trying not to cry during the interview.

Joanne, pump up the volume. Listen after Jeremy says happen. You'll hear it. What is that noise? It's not a crying sound.

Lint. I'm thinking he farted, thats what it sounds like or maybe its his stomach growling.

Matt's speech was wonderful.
Jeremy looks like he's in shock sitting in his room.

Re: "Fart-gate" - Plain and simple, the production staff missed one. Unfortunately it occured during a very important part of the program.

The average viewer has no comprehension of the amount of sound editing necessary for a show such as Little People, Big World.

Think about it, every member of the family wears a microphone strapped around their waist. If it was not for superb sound editing, there would be sound distractions during every single scene. Not only sounds of normal bodily functions, but sounds of pop cans opening, doors closing, coughing, background noise, secondary conversations, etc.

I'm certain the production staff takes their job very seriously and there is no one more disappointed in their miss than they are.

Matt's closing words were very honest and true about life. Every person that has ever lost someone important in their lives have felt the same way.

All the best to Mike's family and the Roloffs.

actually, i think that noise came from his throat, havent you guys ever have some like gurgling noise happen there when your hungry or something?

It's a shame that Jeremy's thoughts about Mike have turned into a discussion about farting. But it is a very real noise, so I can't complain.

It didn't sound like gurgling noise. He wouldn't have smiled if it was just a gurgle.

Lint, I just listened again and didnt hear any noise... I think he got quiet because he was going to cry. That has happened to me many times. He never lost someone close to him and its all new for him too.

Aw, I heard the gurgle sound too. I had thought he was just getting choked up and holding back the tears but it seems he did stop because of that sound. It kind of takes away from the mood of that clip, he was looking around like "should I do another take?" What a heartbreaking episode though, Mike was the man!
