Charity Foundation are always good, but it's true entertainment and politics don't mix. The more I found out about the Roloffs the harder it is too like the show.

The same person organizing Amy's Charity foundation is in the U.S heath Ins industry and also tweets about political beliefs. She's part of groups trashing Canadian Healthcare and so on. I'm Canadian and it's one of the best things about living in Canada. The stuff her group said, or at least the tv segment they support, said about Canada is ludicrous.

I shouldn't have been surprised that the Roloff's friends are on that side of the healthcare debate, they're obviously in the section of population that is well-taken care of because they are all very rich.

The same friend of Amy's is also tweeting about the Golf Tournament. They want Miley Cyrus and her dad to come to the farm. David Archuleta and Nicole Richie too.

I realize it's "for charity", a charity that benefits the Roloffs, but ironic that the Roloffs are using their own fame to meet celebrities any kid would love to meet, but the Roloffs won't say boo to their own fans.

The Roloffs are becoming very hard for me to like them.

Sandra, the Roloffs have stated many times that they can't get health insurance because they're turned down due to pre-existing conditions (dwarfism). This is something that will be hopefully fixed when healthcare reform is in place.

I don't know about this person organizing the event but who cares about her politics. I think these are seperate issues from Amy's event.

Anon, I agree with what Sandra is saying.

I thought I remember something since that first episode with Zach's shunt, that the Roloffs are now covered. Those things tend to happen when one is rolling in money and are assets to a television network.

The cost of all Jacob's visits and Zach's surgery and hospital stay would have been staggering for a working class family. The Roloffs are not in that category no matter how much they try and look the part for ratings.

I think Sandra's point about Amy's friend involved in the golf event is that all of Amy's friends are very wealthy and have the same political beliefs. I think we all know where most wealthy people stand on healthcare reform and why.

Jake, Jeremy, and Molly have health insurance, they qualify. Matt, Amy, and Zach don't because they are dwarfs. I'm sure the average height kids have individual health insurance plans. With all of Jake's accidents the Roloffs would be foolish not to have the other children on plans.

Remember when Molly had that thing cut off her tongue. Matt paid cash. No insurance!

Sometimes insurance companies repay you at a later time.

Even if they dont have it though im sure they would be ok due to the paychecks from tlc.

One of Amy's friends is helping with her golf tournament. She has a twitter account. She sent a twitter comment to Miley Cyrus. It said Amy Roloff personally invites you and your dad to come to Roloff Farm for the charity golf tournament. She also sent those invitations to David Archuleta from American Idol and Nicole Richie.

Sandra, could you please post the link to Amy's friends twitter?

The roloffs seem to be getting so caught up with all their money and fame, jeez i know people have said this but think back to the first season, they have changed so much

Samantha, I agree with you. I give my head a shake when I see people say the Roloffs haven't changed. Now the Roloffs are about having have rich friends and mingling with celebrities. So much for just being your average family. They ignore their own fans, the average people that made them famous and they charge them $250 to see them in a tour. I hope Mily Cyrus charges Amy $250,000! Ha!

Here is the twitter account I referred to. I don't know how to post a link here, but if you copy and paste it, it should work.

Sandra, thanks for the link, i wonder if Miley and her dad will actually end up coming. If they do, i agree that they charge Amy the 250,000, its a little taste of their own medicine
