No Little People, Big World November 23rd, Roloff family gets bumped for Jon and Kate Plus 8 finale

As if Kate Gosselin's popularity among many Little People, Big World fans needed another reason to take a hit, Little People, Big World will not be shown tomorrow, Monday November 23rd because of the series finale of Jon and Kate Plus 8.

According to the TLC schedule, at 8pm Monday, they are repeating "Kate: Her Story" - the exclusive interview with Kate Gosselin. Then at 9pm is the Jon and Kate Plus 8, Series finale.

Little People, Big World will return with new episodes Monday November 30th.

TLC has been known to switch their schedules up last minute, so to be on the safe side, Roloff fans might want to tune in tomorrow at 8pm just to be sure Little People, Big World isn't on, but as it stands now, they are not scheduled.

TLC's new series "Cake Boss" which seems to be their darling right now and beat Little People, Big World in the ratings last week, manages to avoid getting bumped tomorrow and will air as usual in their 10pm Monday slot.

Thanks for telling us. I love how Jon and Kate is finally ending. TLC makes it seem like the family is dying or going away for good. Please.

That sucks about tomorrow, but if it means we don't ever need to hear about them again, the trade off is worth it.

I love the part in the comerical where its all Last time together! Umm i highly doubt that it will be the last time they are together. They have 8 kids i'm sure they'll be together again. lol
It's just a end of a televison show. Not as others say the death of the children. lol

Boo about no new episodes this week. We'll even be further behind. Haha. Guess we'll see thing happening lately in 2 years... lol

Not happy about this. I wont be watching that hag on TV tonight or any other time. Enough with the greedy gosselins.
I want the ROLOFFS!!!

Why are they doing this? The 8 o'clock hour is a repeat of Kate.

Withdrawl...I refuse to do a review of Kate Gosselin. lol ;)

Hey, did anybody else look at their new schedule? Click the first link and change the date to November 30th.

They're skipping all the boring episodes!

They already skipped "Amy on her Own", Amy speaking and doing charity work in Florida. That week they did the two episodes about the BVI trip.

Even by delaying it a week this week, next week was supposed to be another boring episode about Iraq family "Little Americans".

They've replaced on their schedule. Now they have two interesting episodes about the Roloffs in Utah at a dude ranch. You know Jeremy will be involved in those.

They've skipped "Amy on her own" and they're going to be skipping "Little Americans". Good job TLC :) I thought those were going to be boring.

I agree Expressed. Tbose Iraq episodes especially weren't interesting to me. It's also a shame that TLC has to preempt their normal schedule, just to air repeats of J&K. I love spending Monday nights with the Roloffs.

PLEASE God, tell me this isn't the same dude ranch that Kate Gosselin visited with the boys. If it is, TLC must be getting vacation package deals...I guess we'll see the Duggars there next. Or maybe the Cake Boss and his Jersey gang.

On another note, "With lots of dude ranch fun yet in store, Matt decides to leave the trip early," proving once again that if Matt doesn't get his way, he just checks out. And y'all can't understand why Amy has a problem with this attitude?

I actually suspect the Iraqi episodes may have been moved to be closer to Christmas, when people like the whole heartwarming thing.

M said...

Kit I was thinking the same thing! Next stop the duggars or the little couple in the BVI lol

It is my wish with the end of the Jon and Kate show, that TLC will begin to promote LPBW properly once more.

I have wondered if they are trying to sabotage their own show. That way they can justify not renewing and not paying the Roloffs what they are worth. The better the ratings are, the more leverage Matt will have. I hope TLC is not attempting to send the Roloffs packing and replace them with a cheaper show.

All last week I was looking forward to new Little People, Big World episodes tonight...then I saw they were swapped out for the Gosselins. :( It ruined the start of my week.

Wish TLC would play more than two LPBW reruns a day, instead of the 20 J&K+8 reruns they play throughout the afternoon.

I mean this nicely. If LPBW is profitable as is - and it certainly may be - how can TLC justify intentionally sabotaging a profitable show *especially* with the Jon and Kate cash cow heading to the slaughterhouse?

I'm the only one that likes +8 more? lol.

It was the greatest show on TLC. It was their last night. They deserved the whole night.

well considering this is a blog about little people big world, most people reading/commenting probably really like the show...mostly haha

Good answer Parker :)

I also wondered why TLC wasn't promoting them. If their was another reason or if it was all about Jon and Kate lately because its ending. I hope they get back to regular promotions and LPW can get better raitings.

I vote for neither, bring on Table for Twelve! The Roloff kids could learn a lot from the Hayes kids. They love, care and help each other.

And they even mention to thank their parents sometimes! :)

This is off topic- but why aren't Matt's parents on the show anymore? They used to be on alot and now they are never mentioned. Did I miss something?

There seemed to have been a bit of a falling outover an arguement in the 2008 or 2007 pumpkin season (I think 2007 but am easily wrong) over Honey working.

Matts parents also travel alot now. I read that they just got home after being away for 2 and 1/2 months. And now that their going to Thailand soon.

JK+8fan I appreciate your sentimentality about the Gosselins and Jon and Kate Plus Eight ending. They are special to me too and they take a lot of bad rap for doing the same things that are okay for other families, but if the Roloffs were going off the air they should have thier own night too. It does bother me that TLC is recycling storylines and themes, Hayescamping out in the backyard, the Roloffs at a dude ranch, etc. I wonder if TLC's budget is low. Somebody could go to Mount Rushmore, Philidelphia or New England. It also might be cool, if they want to do the same storyline to get some of the families together.

Tashapork,
I barely watched the Gosselins so I can't say I'm a fan, but I agree with you that they got a bad rap.

So many times I have seen people bash the Gosselins. While bashing the Gosselins, they praise the Roloffs for doing the same thing.

If you're going to bash the Gosselins for doing the show for money and getting free vacations, bash all the reality families. But people don't do that. The Gosselins are the reality TV family whipping boy.

Even the whole child explotation angle. It was only about the Gosselins. There are no angry letters and petitions to TLC about the Duggars or the Roloffs about their minor children being filmed. People only focus on the Gosselins. I'd think with Jacob Roloff running away from the cameras crying as much as he has, some of the child explotation anger would be shared towards the Roloffs, but no. People only attack the Gosselins for that.

You're right about the recycled TLC storylines. I read where the Gosselins also stayed at the Peabody Hotel (first) where the Roloffs stayed in 2008.

Brandon said...

And at least the Gosselins have always been honest about their freebies, unlike another family we all know who lie about their freebies.

There are no problems between Matt's parents and Matt or Matt's family. It is sad that there are people who always attempt to stir up problems between this loving family. Wishful thinking? It's sick.

Families have disagreements. They get over it. Ron and Peg have been participants in pumpkin season two years since the disagreement some try to blow up into something that's lingering.

Ron and Peg visit with Matt and his family. You must learn about editing and remember that you're only seeing 44 minutes a week. That's nothing. A lot happens with the family that you never see. Peg and Ron may not be seen in a lot of episodes, but that doesn't mean they had a falling out.

Stop attempting to create problems where there none.

Rap541 said...

Sheri - I assume you didn't see Peggy's note to the fans over the Becky incident. It wasn't a little fight. Ever since this incident, Peg and Ron have NOT been on the show the way they used to be. They certainly were traveling quite a bit before the incident so that never stopped them from being on the show. It *is* noticable that after the fight over Becky being rude, they haven't been on the show nearly as much.

Speaking of creating problems, remember when you publically snitted about how I didn't express any sympathy to Mrs. Garland? And when I pointed out that a) I did in my very first post on the topic, and my second, and b) that your first post in that thread was NOT an expression of sympathy.... you didn't apologize for making a nasty untrue accusation?

I mean really, you attempted to blame me for the whole ugly direction that thread went in and funny how you attempted to smear me and then sat silent instead of being decent and apologizing.

Of course thats what I expect from people like you. :) After all, you're a Christian and you have taught me how Christians act with your actions.

Maybe they didn't like the way they we're portrayed on TV. Maybe they wanted more privacy. Who knows it's their own personal business not ours.
