Matt and Jacob Roloff in the mall -- video

Matt took a quick video with Jacob in the Mall and put it on You Tube. Not much happens :)...Jacob got some new stuff.

How embarrassing for the lad.

Jacob is doing better than most 14 year olds. At least he stopped to wait up for Matt. All parents know the 10 ft ahead walk by their teenage son all too well!

Matt might be trying to go the way of that annoying family with all the viewers on You Tube that filmed him in the LA airport.

Just what Jacob needs...more stuff.

What does Jacob say when Matt asks him if it's awesome?

They don't get mobbed, do they?

And I assume it's *Amy's* fault for indulging him?

Not Daddy-O Matt! Right?

Most teens aren't camera shy anymore. It's the you tube generation. A lot of kids are making their own videos and posting them.

Matt is such a good dad!

No, both Matt and Amy are at fault. They aren't bad parents or bad people.

I feel they simply make the mistake many parents make nowadays. They spoil the child.

Is Jacob short for his age?

I hate to be a Negative Nellie, but I don't see any change in Jacob. He still looks like the same sullen kid that fails to realize how lucky he is to have Matt Roloff as his dad.

I hope for Matt's next outing, he takes Jacob to church. Jeremy has it right in my eyes. Keep your eyes focused on God and God will reward you.

I think it says a lot for Matt and the kids that the only thing Jacob seems embarrassed by is that Matt was filming in the mall and NOT because Matt has dwarfism. That's a great accomplishment. Good job Matt and Amy!

Matt, how would you compare Jacob and Jeremy at 14 years old? Amy gave her opinion. What about Matt?

Judy B said...

Rachelle, I would like to hear what Matt thinks as well.

Matt did say on an old Little People Big WOrld episode that until Jeremy was 15, he was a tireless worker and always helped Matt out and did whatever Matt told him to do. Then he became a typical teenager at 15 that didn't want to work.

Based on that, Jeremy is far ahead of Jacob, IMO.

Negative Nellie (aka. Lorena Phillips) said, I have a serious question for you, Does God really reward gluttony, covetness and greed? I am thinking you must be joking.

Lorena Phillips said...

What does gluttony have to do with Jeremy?

BettyC said...

Lorena Phillips, Gluttony was commited when they went on the "Charity Cruise to Haiti". Laute - eating food that is too luxurious, exotic, or costly. This is from the Christian bible. You can hide from the public and the TLC cameras and pretend you are going on a cruise to help Haitians but you cant hide from God. God has access to youtube and he has seen the photos that other people have taken. They Gluttoned themselves with a celebration formal dinner. Look it up.

Lorena we can go ahead and add Sloth to the list as well: Sloth is the desire for ease, even at the expense of doing the known will of God. Whatever we do in life requires effort. Everything we do is to be a means of salvation. The slothful person is unwilling to do what God wants because of the effort it takes to do it. Sloth becomes a sin when it slows down and even brings to a halt the energy we must expend in using the means to salvation.

I don't care about these stupid videos that Matt puts up on Youtube to try and continue to cling his rapidly disappearing "fame".

I'm much more interested in what's going on in Egypt right now, with millions of people taking to the streets openly defying the dictatorship (and that's what they have, don't let the faux democracy that Mubarak claims they have fool you) that we have openly sponsored for the last thirty years and demanding their full democratic rights and a true representative government.

With a "velvet revolution" happening in Egypt the likes of which hasn't been seen since Poland and Czechoslovakia in the late 1980's there are few things that I could find more interesting.

Matt needs to realize that he's not the only "important" thing in the world and accept that the party's over and just disappear into obscurity like all the other fake reality tv "celebrities" who've come and gone in the last few years.

In fairness, Dios, you could say that about anything. Anybody posting about their lives, sports, anything.

Life doesn't stop because serious things are happening in the world. Hark, did I just defend Matt??

Why are these people uploading junk on YouTube? I think they miss having their own show.

Dana said...

Christy A, what's it to you? Matt is doing it for their fans that still want to know what they are doing. I think Matt is being very gracious.

Rap541 said...

Christy - to put Dana's comments in perspective, this is what Dana said about a non-Roloff family doing the same thing.

That family is along the lines of "Balloon Boy" family. They aren't doing any good. They aren't serving society. They are just another money attention seeking family. Selling t-shirts and the sort.

Amusing isn't it? :)

Dana said...

Rap, did you miss the part about serving society by normalizing dwarfism?

The Roloffs are along the lines of "Balloon Boy" family. They aren't doing any good. They aren't serving society. They are just another money attention seeking family. Selling t-shirts and Dirt from a "Farm".
Thanks Dana, you summed it up.

Rap541 said...

Dana - Is that what we're calling Jeremy and Zach looking at whores in Amsterdam? :)

The twins were "serving society" by slamming beers?

Lets take the Roloffs down off the cross, shall we? I'm utterly positive that if the pay was "nothing but the joy of knowing you did something for LP awareness" that we never would have seen ANY LPBW so please stop nominating the Roloff T-shirt sales and youtube vids for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Ellen Ferguson said...

In my opinion, it is very rude to criticize Matt or amy for these videos, updates or coffee chats. Fans felt like the Roloffs were members of their extended family after watching them for so many years.

It's very nice of them to stay connected to the fans like this. Thank you Roloffs.

Anyone who feels someone on TV is part of their "extended family" should get a life or seek professional help. They have big-time problems. Feeling like this is very different from just enjoying a show/actors.
