Amy Roloff Coffee Chat March 11 with Jacob Mueller and Zach

In this weeks Amy Roloff Coffee Chat Summary the main point of discussion will be rather obvious.

You can watch the whole show at the above link. In our summaries, we stick to the things that fans of the family and Little People, Big World are more drawn to, rather than the (non-Roloff and LPBW related) guests and cooking recipes, etc.

*Amy said her kids don't eat Chicken off a drumstick or the chicken wing. Molly won't eat chicken on a bone. Chatters asked her why? Amy said Molly has a hang up about it, Amy thinks she's just uncomfortable about the whole thing of where our food comes from.

*They will prepare the dirt in April for pumpkin season and usually in May is when Matt starts to get serious about pumpkin season.

*Amy said Matt is doing good and not doing good. He's the project manager of this big dirt project. He's great at dealing with the schedule of the dump trucks and the logicistics, but he needs to get up in the mornings at 5:30am. Matt doesn't like getting up early. Neither do the kids. Amy says the kids got that from Matt, although as she is getting older, she is getting more like that too.

*Amy described the dirt project again for people that don't understand. It's not on their own farm. Intel is building a plant. They need to dig really far down, then they need to get rid of all that dirt and find places to put it -- so Matt has one of the places where they dump it.

*Amy and Lisa Dixon were talking about how Amy sometimes mispronounces words. Amy said she always messes up "Chicken Parmesan". Amy said she always says it "Par-ME-sion" and Molly makes fun of her. A couple of years ago Molly was with her friends and Molly said "Par-ME-sion"...all her friends laughed at her. Molly said, but that's what my Mom has always called it!" So ever since Molly makes fun of Amy for saying it wrong.

*Lisa and chatters mentioned Amy pronouncing Oregon wrong. Amy was brought up saying Or-e-GONE. Lisa said it's supposed to be "Or-e-GIN". Amy told a story that when they went back to Michigan with the crew to visit her parents, her father, Gordon Knight, said "Or-e-gone" -- Amy told her crew come film it and had her dad say it again so people could hear where she got it from.

*Zach walked in. He said he just woke up. He told Amy he had the most amazing night ever, but he can't say on camera. He said it was the best experience he's had in his entire life. Amy said she would find out for herself later. She asked him if he lost money. Zach replied no, he made amazing amounts of money. Amy asked if it had to do with soccer, Zach said it could. Amy thinks they had a friendly game of cards/poker with friends.

*Jacob Mueller walked in. Amy said he's Zach's friend, but he's more than a friend, he's part of their family.

*Zach was reading the chatter's questions and answering. He was asked if he had a girlfriend. Amy said Zach doesn't really have a girlfriend. He has lots of friends. He has a special girl friend, but they aren't like dating or anything.

*Mueller just woke up. Amy didn't think he was at this big thing with Zach last night. Mueller said he was watching the Tsunami stuff on the news with Jeremy (Jeremy didn't make an appearance this week).

*Mueller said they usually wake up at 8am and go for a morning jog. Both Zach and Mueller need to work at 5am tomorrow, since today is their day off they stayed up late and that's why they were just getting up (at Noon)

*Amy said Jeremy always leaves his shoes all over the place. She knew she had company coming so she threw it all in a bag and put in the garage. Mueller's shoes were in the pile --Amy told him that's where he would find his missing shoes.

*Okay, the big topic this week -- you can watch it for yourself at the 28 minute mark -- it ends around 30 minutes.

Basically, it went like this:

Zach and Mueller were looking at the live chat questions as Amy was talking. Zach told Amy to answer this one. Amy read the question: "Jacob, what inspired the Mo tossing, you guys sure created some ripples"

Amy answered -- well, the thing is when people have their cat on the table, they'll brush it off the table, and she's heard so many stories of how people will get a blanket and throw their cat up so it lands on the blanket. The cat was injured or hurt. Tell me if I'm wrong, Mueller? I think Zach thought it would be really cool since he was sitting on the floor and had his computer camera angle up high..

Mueller said "And I was on my knees" Amy said so what you thought was 7 or 9 feet of Mo in the air was only really a couple of feet.

Zach "It was a picture joke and people got out of hand with it."

Amy explained that the other thing is that it didn't happen yesterday. It was like several years ago, Zach had it on his computer and posted it.

Amy said they normally don't do that to their animals. Mueller has like 10 animals himself. Mueller said he has 2 dogs, a basset hound and a German Sheppard and loves them very much.

So according to Amy, "unfortunately people took this one picture and made it a movie size screen and that's really too bad, but Mo is Mo and doing great. So it's not like we condone that. If these boys did that every single day to our pets then I wouldn't be cool with it"

Zach and Mueller left at that point. Amy did a segment about wine as she was cooking with a guest. Mueller and Zach waited for food and then Amy finished up talking about women that inspire her.

These people are psycho!! What are wrong with the Roloffs?? She knows so many people that are throwing their cats onto a blanket???

She spends 2 minutes making excuses and then says they don't condone that.

Trying to reason with them is like talking to a brick wall!

Brandon said...

Did Amy really just compare shooing a cat off the table to Mueller throwing the cat in the air while her adult "boys" photographed it?

Chris L said...

I think Zach was talking about sex or getting hammered drunk with his "most amazing night ever" :)

Leave it to Amy to think her sweet babies were having a wholesome night of cards...that's why Zach wouldn't talk about it on camera...

Vicky said...

Zach is as bad as Jeremy and Mueller. Very disappointing. Their excuses make me ill.

Katie said...

Zach, did you explain to Mo that it was all a "Picture joke"?

These jerks don't realize that it doesn't matter if Mo wasn't injured. That's not what makes it cruel.

Justin said...

I love how if they didn't do something "yesterday", Amy tries to dismiss it by saying it's old.

Who cares if it's a year old? They clearly are not 13 in the picture. They look at least 18 in the picture. You can tell by Mueller's look. He looked much different early in the show. Same with Jeremy.

AJ said...

Zach's special "girl" is Jen Montzingo.

Brenda said...

The Roloffs have no manners. They've never learned that it's not polite to tease if you're not going to talk about it. You don't say "This happened...but I'm not saying" It's rude. If you're not going to tell someone the whole story, then don't mention it all.

People need to start teasing the arrogant Roloffs to give them a taste of their own medicine.

And about the cat? They are plain nuts for making all those excuses. Look at the height of the objects in the room in the pictures. You can see how high Mo was thrown.

Brandon said...

Samuel, if this is why you are such a big fan of mine, I hope you noticed that Jeremy and Mueller spent yet another night playing together.

That's why you were calling me an idiot right? I said Jeremy was at home playing with Mueller like he has been since he was 4 years old.

Greg said...

Amy has a major problem with blaming others for the stupidity and cruelness of her kids.

Amy, it's the normal pictures. People didn't make it "movie size". It's not distorted at all.

Steph said...

AJ, the name Jen sounds familiar, but which girl was she?

Ashley said...

Steph, Jen was on "Zach's team" in the old episode about the apple war. She was on the show a bunch of other times in the LP convention episodes. I wondered if they were more than friends because Zach talked to her all the time. Do you remember Matt pulling out Zach's phone bill and being astonished how much Zach was calling Seattle? That was Jen.

Betty said...

Amy is delusional. Your kids are not the sweet angels you think they are.

Carol said...

Chris, that is kind of what I was thinking too. Amy leaps to the conclusion that it was a friendly game of cards, but that doesn't explain why Zach wouldn't explain it on camera.

Let's see.

Lots of people throw cats. They were just playing around. Zach was on the floor and the angle made it look bad (look at the couch and the book case), it didn't happen yesterday, people made it movie size (whatever that means), Mueller loves dogs, Zach thought it would be cool to post the picture........BUT...it doesn't mean they condone it and she wouldn't want them to do it every day.

God, Amy makes no sense. She did nothing but defend it, trying to make it sound acceptable, then she says they don't condone it and she doesn't want them doing it every day.

AJ and Ashley, you're right about Zach's girl being Jen.

My sister was in California last weekend and she saw Jen and Zach out on the town together. I don't know why Zach is so secretive about it. I think it might be TLC because they tried convince the viewers Zach was too nervous to talk to girls.

Ryan said...

I know Jen and she is WAY to mature for Zach!!! Don't gossip Jennifer!

Louise said...

The Roloffs and Mueller don't understand it all. The act of throwing a cat for your amusement is the cruel part. Good people don't do that. Nothing but excuses from them. I can't believe I liked them at one time.

Christine said...

I used to hope that as he got older Zach would move away from Jeremy and Mueller's shenanigans but he's obviously been drawn deeper into it. They all suck as people.

Jennifer D said...

Excuse me, Ryan. I am not gossiping or spreading rumors. My sister knows what she saw. She even took a picture of Zach and Jen. They were having a night on the town. My sister said they looked cozy and were having fun. Don't accuse people of lying when YOU don't.

Linda Sheappard said...

Mueller having two dogs that he loves very much doesn't make throwing Mo the cat acceptable! It's not natural for a cat to be held and then suddenly chucked in the air. They are all poor excuses for human beings that have no business having pets.

Kathryn said...

Darn, I'm usually on the coffee chats, but couldn't make this week. I would have definitely said my piece about the cat tossing to Mueller.

Kathryn said...

Who was on the coffee chat or reading it live? Were all the comments gushing "You tell them Amy!" Did anybody object to their excuses? Mueller and Zach were reading the comments after they spoke.

Abby said...

I thought of Jen Montzingo too when the "special girl" stuff came up. Maybe Zach doesn't like the attention.

The cat stuff was bad...like someone else said, trying to get them to realize that it was totally wrong is like talking to a wall.

Tracey said...

Zach having "lots" of girl friends and "a special friend" is totally different than the way the show wanted to portray him as.

About the cat tossing, do they even listen to how they sound? It's disgusting that they think there's nothing to be ashamed of.

M said...

7 years old?! Yeah let's all look at Jer and his camera.. Which he got what about a year ago? The famous bright yellow construction company shirts that we know they got for free because of the show(which wasn't on 7 years ago). The fact they only got mo what like 2 years ago. 7 year old photo my ass!

Throwing cats in the air isn't funny no matter how you try and defend it. Someone throw them on some cement and not a so called blanket!

M said...

They didn't even have the addition 7 years ago! Ok I'm ending my rant now. lol

Diane said...

M, did they say it was 7 years ago? I think Amy said "several", but it wasn't that long ago that it makes any difference.

They didn't even get Mo until a couple of years ago. Mueller looks at least 18 in that picture. There were lots of pictures of Mueller the summer after their graduation and that's what Mueller looked like. Or the summer before last.

Really, what does it matter if they were 18, 19 or 20? It is still people that are old enough to have some common sense being mean to a poor cat. They apparently think it's just like knocking a cat off the table or that everybody is throwing cats up and catching it in a blanket!

Dana said...

Is anybody going to rescinde their position about the boys now that we've heard their full side of the story?

Andrea said...

Did I hear that right? Amy said Zach has a special girl but he's not dating?

I don't believe Jeremy is dating because he's always with Mueller. Geez.

Mueller slept over at the Roloffs again if Amy took his shoes. Does he live at the Roloffs? I'm serious, does he actually live at the Roloffs? Does he pay rent?

Victoria said...

I'm beside myself. Mueller having 10 pets is irrelevant (and I am concerned how he takes care of them, we know how he treats animals!) Unfortunately there aren't laws that require people to be fit to be a pet owner. Mueller liking dogs is irrelevant. Mo not dying is irrelevant. Lisa holding Mo is irrelevant. It doesn't change how they were treating Mo.

Who believes that was the only time they've done something like that? You can tell Amy thinks there is nothing wrong with it. Listen to everything she said about it.

BeckyM said...

I guess I'm the only one who sees the irony of "can't eat chicken off the bone because it makes me squirmy to think it was a chicken" - to shooting squirrels, squashing birds with your bootheel and tossing cats.

Yeah the Roloffs are "caring people" towards their animals... NOT! What about the shoot the dog comment instead of euthanisia given by a vet? What about the obvious neglect of the family dog in terms of care or attention?

Yeah, whatever Amy. Damage Control. You and your family are done in my book.

Rap541 said...

Dana - the boys admitted throwing the cat. Amy said so.

That Amy feels it was ok just means that they have the homeowner's permission.

That Amy says the animal abuse was "several years ago still means it occured when "the boys" (never men, Jeremy is never to be referred to as a grown man) were certainly old enough to know better.

If you look at Mueller standing and compare where the book shelves are, you can tell by that, and by his posture, that he wasn't "on his knees." I would also point out that the speed in which he gets out of the way of the cat indicates he wasn't on his knees.

That Amy condoned it merely says a great deal about her personal character, and that it took the Roloffs aproximately three weeks to come up with a story that isn't especially plausible says a great deal about how likely it is that "the boys" got a plate of cookies and a "nice shot" as their reward for animal abuse.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Dana - but the "full story" is "yes it happened, but Roloffs don't think its wrong so shut up and stop judging, you judgers!" and I personally am not on the "If the Roloffs do it, its Christian cutesy Cute".

Is that your position, Dana? The "boys" (never men, Jeremy will NEVER be a man) get to throw animals as it pleases Jesus?

Rap541 said...

An addendum:

If Mueller *was* on his knees, he's still what, 6'4... and he's STILL throwing the cat high in the air and Jeremy is still taking pictures of it and Amy is still endorsing it as "how we play".

"Well, the cat didn't need to go to the vet" doesn't mean its ok.

Vic Rattlehead said...

Dana:

Jacob Mueller is nothing more than a roid headed muscle freak (hopefully those steroids destroy his ability to have kids so he can't reproduce and continue contaminating the gene pool) who likes to pick on those who are smaller or defenseless because it compensates for his low self esteem and feeds his infantile need for attention, He's a bully and coward nothing more nothing less.

His having two dogs and "loving them very much" means nothing to me at all.

I don't believe a word they say about anything because they're compulsive (and repulsive) liars who love to twist the truth about anything involving them to suit their undeserved image as a "nice christian family".

Adriane said...

I think Jen Montzingo is too mature for her to be really dating a Roloff.

Jen moved to another state for her goal. Zach is at home throwing cats with Jeremy and Mueller...

M said...

Sorry i was just in rant mode by the idioticness of it!
What I ment was she's saying more lies. Babying her "boys" She's trying to make it sound like they are little boys who don't know any better. They are at least 18+ years old in these photos grown men who should know better. Most grown men would know better then throw a innocent cat in the air for kicks but if they can't see that they were wrong then something seriously wrong with them. Get help! It also means Amy, Matt and Muellers parents messed up big time! It's time to throw the kid to the wolves so to speak stop babying them, supporting them(they'll never grow up!) and covering for them! In the less then 2 month they are legal to drink no longer babies!

Larry said...

If Mueller is standing, there is no way he 's 6'4" tall. He would be more like 4'4". You can easily determine this by the light switch on the wall behind him. Typically they are mounted between 40"-48", and I think the Roloff's mounted theirs lower. He was clearly on his knees as he said. But I can understand why some of you need to keep the scandal going.

Brandon said...

Right Larry...because tossing a cat is acceptable if you're knees. You can see how high the cat is compared to the book shelves. That ignores the point that it's plain mean to grab a cat and then suddenly throw it in the air because your friends want to take pictures of it.

I'm skeptical about him being on his knees because of his posture in the 2nd picture, but even if he was, it doesn't make it acceptable.

Christine said...

Larry, Mueller must be much taller than 6'4" if he's on his knees because look at how much taller he is than the top of the couch.

Nancy said...

He's on his knees. I work in a bank and we are trained how to determine height.

Anonymous said...

Nancy you sound like the dude on the current survivor who says he's a federal agent and trained to tell if people are lying, lols

Maria said...

It makes no difference at all if he was on his knees. It probably makes the toss of the poor thing even more dangerous. Try throwing anything (something that's not living!) from your knees. It could go all over the place. No wonder why the cat is facing the other way in the air.

Sandie said...

The point is, in my mind, that the cat is a living, feeling creature and unable to consent to being suddenly put in danger; and as such, experiences terror under these circumstances. Why is that difficult to understand?

I give Zach kudos for dating! Even shy people eventually get girlfriends. I dont think TLC can control that...
