Jacob Roloff Posts Screen Captures Of Threats Received On His Ask.Fm Account

Further to our recent item about Jacob Roloff creating an ask.fm account where he invites people to ask him anonymous comments, things have taken a more distasteful turn and that's why I wanted to do this item.

Jacob Roloff is now posting screen captures of questions that apparently were submitted to him via his Ask.fm account. They are basically the things that the articles about the Roloffs receiving threats were detailing.

As you can see (on Jacob's ask.fm or twitter account where he posted the comments), one of the string of threatening and despicable comments says the person or people issuing threats supports the Keeping Up With the Roloffs blog. We don't appreciate this connection. We take great offense at this form of slander.

We absolutely do no advocate or condone any person threatening the Roloffs in this manner as it is against the law and morally despicable. We certainly do not wish for anyone to somehow show support in this manner. We have never advocated or encouraged any such action or behavior,

Absolutely no one associated with the Spiritswander Blog has anything to do with those comments. We obviously find them distasteful and offensive.

I would suspect that the comments are meant for attention (either that, or something part of a different agenda).

Those kind of threats, mindset or language (or spelling!) is not something we have ever condoned, endorsed or encouraged.

I suspect that because of the Roloffs long history of dislike towards the Spiritswander Blog, there is an attempt here to lump Spiritswander in with these threats - which is completely false and slanderous.

I will kindly point out that since day one of this Blog, we have rules of kindness and respect that often exceed that of other sites.

For example, you will never see any of the Roloffs criticized or ridiculed for their physical appearance on this site in the same way someone like Zach used to be viciously criticized for his facial features on other message board forums such as Television Without Pity.

In addition, we obviously have never condoned the use of name-calling or slurs. We don't condone the use of any slurs, including hurtful words such as "midget" and we've done many articles in the past detailing why it is hurtful.

I find it very hard to believe that anyone that would use slurs against Jacob such as "f*g" would be a fan or supporter of Spiritswander considering our stance against the use of hurtful slurs. We should not forget that one of the main reasons why the Roloffs have so much dislike towards the Spiritswander: Keeping Up With The Roloffs blog is because we said members of the Roloff family were wrong to use racial and homophobic slurs and to not apologize for it or express regret.

We act as a news gathering entity regarding the public figures - Roloff family and the television show Little People, Big World. We attempt to be fair and unbiased. That means we sometimes report or discuss subjects the Roloffs would rather not be discussed. Although we do attempt to allow readers to express their opinions, the criticism the Roloffs receive on our site is entirely based upon their actions, words and behavior (cat tossing comes to mind, the use of slurs, bullying of well-meaning fans, or questioning perceived hypocrisy). Our readers can express their opinions on their feelings about whether they feel Matt is a truthful person or not or how "real or fake" they think the show is or isn't.

We want to make it crystal clear that we do not take kindly to the slanderous accusation that we are somehow connected to or condone or support the type of distasteful comments that Jacob is relaying that he is apparently receiving on ask.fm.

And really? Comments about "wanting to eat the dead dog"?? Is this a  naughty 9 year old?? Seriously.

It's unfortunate that we need to spend any time at all to give this individual attention, but it's important that everyone understands that the Spiritswander Blog joins with the Roloffs in feeling that these comments are completely inappropriate and offensive.

Is there anyone else that wouldn't be in total shock if these threats or the idea of these threats came from a Roloff themselves?

I wouldn't. Cynicism or how the Roloffs operate? I don't know.

But it fits in with a lot of things the Roloffs like.

Who is not going to oppose those messages? It makes the Roloffs sympathetic.

Matt and Amy first went to the media about the threats just a day or two before it was announced that there would be a new episode of LPBW.

Now Jacob posts it while the new episode is a week away. Funny timing.

I can't ignore the reference to Spirits, too.

Jacob is annoyed by Spirits. He's said that on both of his pages.

How very convenient for him that he's able to tie in malicious haters threatening death and rape and wanting to eat his dead dog (?) as supporters of the blog he is so annoyed by?

Very convenient indeed. Almost too convenient if you ask me.

Maybe Jacob is the true genius of the family.

Brandon - I hate to be suspicious but it really does seem suspicious that the threats get publicized right before new episodes air.

But here's the thing, and I feel like I am stating the obvious when it comes to Jake getting threats from someone using Ask.fm.

So an underage kid is getting threats on line. Lets ignore the whole "do Matt and Amy even know?" and assume that they do.

The Roloffs have lawyers and money and their underage kid is getting threats thru a popular social media site. Does everyone understand that the Roloffs *could* subpeona the users sending Jake these messages? By sending the subpeona to the website owners? Is someone going to suggest that this hasn't even occured to them?

Mind you, it sounds like a kid, attention seeking... but I'm not the one who went to the media because the cops weren't doing enough - Matt and Amy Roloff did that. If they're that concerned, I'm suggesting a way to get to the bottom of it, a way they're already familar with.

Brandon, I agree with you. But I differ on one point; the anonymous nature of ask.fm is a little too convenient - for someone other than Jacob to post these hateful things. My thinking, as screwy as it has been called sometimes, goes like this. I don't feel that Jacob is all the terribly concerned with Spiritswander. When he write he does not care, He means he really does not give a flying you-know-what about the things written on here. As I read what he writes Brandon, not nearly to this level of annoyance.

The scale starts to tip the other direction with the convenience as you pointed out. It's all too pat, isn't it? The statements, and ahhh, the spelling. Yes, Spirit, there's no denying the spelling. The familiar contractions are there, such as used nowadays by some (I'll show my age, by a lot of young people) for texting etc. but two other things kinda get to me. the first is the use of the word 'man'. That is not common. A bit of a slip by the author. An indicative slip in my opinion.
The second is the 'dead dog' thing. Yes, the 'dead dog'. I can't bring myself to believe that someone who claims to be so up on the Roloff family ( is it 'fam' or 'farm' it gets used in two different contexts) and an avid fan (!) of this blog does NOT know the name of the 'dead dog'. In the name of all that is wonderful people, the 'dead dog' was THE most popular member of the show! I've mentioned this before, and apparently I have to mention it again, and that is this being that little tiny bit over-the-top on an otherwise "perfect" crime. Everything else was right in line with the previous 'threats', but it could not be left alone. There just had to be that one little bit more, that one single extraordinary statement that blares out of the message and demands that we give it all the attention the writer wants us to give it.

Spirit, I wonder if there is a way to ask Matt formally if he intends to subpoena ask.fm for the information regarding the authorship of theses hateful messages. He sued (sunpoena'd) Google and Spiritswander in an attempt to retrieve information on exactly the same format and grounds - that of an anonymously submitted blog that the owner's will have IP addresses for, and thus the users who wrote these statements. I do not want to hear Matt is 'considering his options'. There is no option Matt!!!! This is in print, and the true author's names are accessible! You must subpoena ask.fm!!!! I wonder what the answer will be?

Rap, I just read your comment immediately I submitted mine, asking the very same question. On the very same grounds.

Brandon, I thought the same thing. I wonder if they do it themselves too.

By the total ridiculous and outrageous factor (eating the dog) there's not much worry of it actually being serious so sure it could be some bored teenager or it could be the Roloffs looking for attention.

Jacob seems to like the sympathy it brings him because everybody tells him how bad people treat him and how awesome he is.

Pondering if the Roloffs are in on it is worth a thought.

Also, I wonder if the failure with the Google subpoena will have a negative effect on Matt's willingness to subpoena ask.fm? I sure hope he doesn't say, "No, we got quashed when we subpoena'd Spiritswander, so we won't win this one". But they WILL get this one. Of course they will. This is a legitimate, meaningful subpoena. Against garbage like this? You bet they'll get all the support they need! From this regular poster, that's for sure!

Those are terrible things to say but way over the top.

I also think Jacob enjoys the attention/victimization.

Podge, I disagree about Jacob and Spirits.

Jacob is clearly annoyed by Spiritswander. I assume because he knows when he steps out of line, Spirits will post about it and I presume at that point Matt and Amy scold him about needing to do a better job of preserving the family image.

Secondly, because the subjects Spirits has brought to the forefront are legitimate. The people that ask Jacob about the hypocrisy of his family supporting the "pray the gay away" thinking and then posing the question about if people with dwarfism should pray to be cured annoys Jacob because he knows it's a legitimate and real criticism.

In my opinion, that's what annoys Jacob. That is much more annoying than some idiot writing outlandish things that everybody is going to slam.

Yes, I know Jacob says he doesn't care what "irrelevants" say but do you really believe it? That's the defense all celebrities use when they don't like something. "I don't care". Kind of like athletes saying they don't care what the reporters say about them. Jacob sounds pissed off when he laughs about supposedly not caring.

Podge/Rodge, there is something that is very strange about this whole threat story.

These messages came from a Facebook account originally, correct?

The person even replied to the media. The police and even the FBI are on the case. They also supposedly have phone messages.

I know the FBI has some issues, but they can't track down the person who is sending telephone messages or facebook messages?

There's something I find VERY fishy about that.

It would take them about 2 seconds to get to the bottom of it. Perhaps the Roloffs don't want to them to get to the bottom of it because they like the attention?

Natalie, great point.

Edward Snowden has nothing to worry about if the FBI is on the Roloff case and has been unable to find out what little child is attempting to construct sentences to form a scary message.

The level of difficulty in that case is probably 0.1

Podge, it's interesting you mention the use of the word "man" in the threats that Jacob says he got.

Look at one of Jacob's responses to an unrelated question.

"Lol idk man what does your heart tell you "

Dramatics at a middle-school level, i.e. juvenile and self-concerned, are Matt's clear signature -- as anyone can attest who has watched the show since Roloff became its producer.

Roloff predictably, mechanically cries wolf, so to bathe in the manufactured worry and fretting of the Roloff Facebook lemmings. I think that "someone wants to hurt us" is the new "we could lose the farm," and it works well for him. So far.

I don't say that Matt wrote this stuff himself (wink, wink), but I do note that it fits exactly into his template and his immaturity, and if it closely precedes a new episode, bears his undisguised timing.

The problem Roloff makes for himself is that he cries wolf but never follows it up. Even the concern freaks among his lemmings, the people who this "peril" is meant to manipulate, will begin to notice that fact. Or maybe not; they've already bought everything else.

But even so, Roloff plays with fire. If these "threats" are ever exposed as his doing, his invention, his plain exaggeration -- as many people believe them to be -- his career is simply over. Fraud trumps dwarfism any day. And I believe that it should.

I find it strange and odd that once this blog posted Jacob ask.fm question forum and stuff off his twitter account Jacob and his friends started posting their remarks on their twitter accounts and after that Jacob twitter account basically goes silent for hours and now out of no where hours later he then starts posting "threatening " comments from the coward that has been on and off harassing his family and friends of his family which he has never discuss before as far as I know.

I hope I am wrong but it sounds like Jacob or even maybe his friends are trying to set this blog up because of the fact this blog posted stuff that he said on his twitter and ask.fm forum just a thought. I hope his parents get a investigation going with the latest "threats" they just received to find out who the coward(s)are.

By the way, has anyone noticed how the whole death threat thing just sorta petered off?

Wasn't the FBI involved and weren't Matt and Amy scared to be alone on the farm to where they now sleep with a gun loaded in the bedroom? Didn't they go on the tv shows to publicize how nothing was happening?

I wonder what's going on with that?

I love the show.. You know what??? I am crazy about Molly, she is so hot and I think I have a crush on her.

To be fair, I don't care what we average size people say or even think about little people, all of us are somewhat very much similar and there is no doubt about it. I love the fact that the Roloff family is happy in life disregarding the fact that half of the family is little people. I mean who gives a shit about what makes us who we are or how we turn out to be in life. Isn't that what makes life so mysterious???

I would give a standing ovation to Amy and Matt Roloff for raising an awesome ordinary family, due to the fact that they are little people.

P.s Molly Roloff you're hot and sexy... :) ;)
