Good lord, are we really devoting a two hour special to the six episode wedding that took place a year ago? Is this really all the Roloffs have left? I’m really missing a new episode of the Real Housewives of New York City for this?
Hey Christians… please explain to me how TLC actively endorsing a positive show about a transgender child is “keeping it hate filled for Christ, let us all pray only straight people are endorsed on TLC”? Because I am genuinely curious how you think the Roloffs actively accepting money from a network that endorses something you consider morally wrong is somehow a-ok and right for Jeremy and Auj to be a part of?
Hey, what are Jeremy and Audrey’s opinions of transgender folks? Have these two paragons of Christ and TLC ever had the gumption to have an opinion other than “I like having money?”
Oh hey, Rap update! My mom just got a pacemaker this morning and also she and my dad had their fiftieth wedding anniversary. I know the assumption is that Rap is from a terrible family but actually, Mom and Dad were married in a church and beat Matt and Amy.
Now the Jeremy and Auj journey with the marrieds on the hay bale reading lines. Jer reminiscences how gross he found Auj. Apparently they kissed in the hay but Auj was all “eww you kissed my forehead” and then they realize how they are long distance. Of course they went to the trestle to think. Of course Auj thought it was cute. Of course Jeremy bought a typewriter for writing notes. Auj dumped him for a bit. Jeremy thought she was weak and cowardly.
Of course Matt loved her. Of course Amy loved her. In theory Auj was hitting major events although the Costa Rica trip (where Auj wasn’t a gold digging whore but Tori was) Oh look filmed scenes for the show where Jeremy “spontaneously” tells his folks he will be asking her to marry him on camera. Btw so far not seeing any new footage.
Now we’re rehashing “Jeremy designing the ring” and “Jeremy knows how to use a typewriter”. Jeremy snots how it was so far beyond Auj’s reality to understand he was planning to propose… I see a lot of Matt in Jer and that is not a compliment. Auj voices over how surprised she was and that’s new.
I think the showing off the ring scene is new. There’s a pointed on camera scene of “are you getting married on the farm” which appears seemingly seconds after the proposal. Jeremy whines how hard a wedding is. Auj loves how into weddings Jer is. I wonder if she noticed how bored he was. Now there’s a lengthy “how hard it is to be rich and to have to plan a fancy party” sequeway. They both whine how quick the wedding was without mentioning the whole “it had to happen at a certain time for filming!”.
Now we’re on Matt’s visions for the wedding…. After all we can’t go ten minutes without Matt on his mechanical penis. Matt hates Zach disagreeing with him, and so does Jeremy, and Jeremy loves snotting how he delighted in pissing off all of his siblings. Matt notes how he and Jer are simpatico. Btw Jeremy mostly sounds like he is reading queue cards in his hay bales. It’s also very noticeable that the hay bales were filmed a year later.
FYI - Lengthy commercial breaks
I’m also sort of amused that Jeremy spends his hay bales staring at Auj like how Michelle Duggar stares at Jimbob. There’s some lengthy reminiscing over the lawn. Jer shares his plan with Auj to build a house on his parents property.
Matt merely tells everyone he’s too physically messed up to paint but he will happily bitch at all them for how they paint. Also he takes a great deal of pleasure of messing with everyone.
Back in Matt’s office, Amy and Matt plan a hand made gift. Matt’s idea is to make a picture frame from wood from the tree house. There’s some grandkids talk. Tory and Zach want kids, Jeremy and Auj not so much.
Another commercial. Seriously, this is clearly the B-roll with Jeremy and Auj reading queue cards. More Jazz commercials.
Jeremy is delighted to be offered a comped custom suit. Auj and Jer play dress up for the cameras. In the hay bales Jeremy looks totally bored. Zach notes how clothes are no big deal him, Again, this is mostly rehash of the actual six episodes of wedding last year. Now we’re up to the bridal shower we already saw. Auj seems annoyed that older photos of her and Jer were circulated. At the forty five minute point, I am amused to note Auj has dominated the hay bales…
Tory and Molly did an art project for a bridal gift.
Now we’re up to the best man stuff. It’s actually sweet that Zach practiced with Molly. Also Molly a smidge older is much prettier.
Now we’re at the bachelor party….Matt basically snots at Zach over how he was violently assaulted and blindfolded for his bachelor party. Zach is more tv friendly and wants paintball. Matt wants some sort of of chainsaw massacre fantasy. You know, this is a lot of hay bales after the fact and b reel stuff. There’s paintball with voiceovers and hay bales. Then Jer is pranked? Oh hey Tye and Jeremy spent a lot of their photography classes taking nudes of each other.
So at the end of the first hour… I haven’t heard anyone mention God. Also really? This is two hours long?
More hay bales from Auj. She’s getting ready to get dressed. Jeremy looks so bored in the hay bales. To be fair, I am not “girly” at all so this wedding dress/bridesmaid dress stuff is like ick. Again not new scenes but Matt and Amy are clearly pleased. Now Audrey reads a letter from Jer. If I assume the letter wasn’t cut, Jeremy’s letter didn’t directly mention Jesus. Also the branding iron is clearly the standard “official roloff wedding gift” from the wedding shows. And really this is very very Audrey focused. Seriously look at the hay bales and consider who is mostly talking. It ain’t Jer. This is Auj’s display to the public.
There’s a lengthy ironing session. Again, the hay bales are clearly filmed well after. Matt and Jeremy do a commercial for the people who made the suit. Matt proceeds to tell Jer how terrified he was, and Jer notes how he loves the farm. The men folk do shots. Again this seems like b reel. I mean I am sure there are people out there with wet underpants over this two hour special but honestly its all mostly already shown footage.
There’s a kerfuffle over the ring. It’s lost? Zach lost it? There’s lengthy voiceovers over a screenshot of the barn. It seriously runs for two minutes and I have no idea if Jeremy ever got his ring.
Now we’re up to the wedding and still Jeremy hasn’t said God. But after commercials, they share the intimate stuff! Auj is proud to tell us! But she’s not in it for the money!
Btw a lot of commercials for I Am Jazz.
More hay bales from Auj. There’s lengthy letters to each other (at 1 and half hour in, no mention of Jesus or God) Now to be fair – the new tracks sign mentioned God but neither Auj or Jer mentioned that and had I not looked up, I would have missed it. Not sure, since it was the “officiant” – I admit to finding it curious that the person doing the vows was an “officiant” and not a reverend or minister or referred to in a religious – if I should count it.
More Audrey hay bales. I genuinely waited to see if Jeremy threw down his love for Jesus and how he was marrying Audrey for God…. Yeah funny, how that wasn’t shown. Audrey’s vows, as depicted, mention God twice . And apparently Jeremy’s ring was never found.
They run off ot be filmed. Then we’re at the reception. Molly likes having sisters. And now more reception. Matt and Amy give the kids a framed photo of the kids made from wood from the far. Auj in the hay bale *loves* it while Jer looks bored, liked he’d rather be off having fun.
Now we’re on to Matt and Amy speechifying. Matt starts telling a lengthy story and chokes up. Then we get Margo, Audrey’s sister making a lengthy speech. Seriously this goes on and on and really this episode is wayyyyyyy toooo long. On the other hand, I don’t see Jacob vomiting pea soup and twirling his head backwards like in the Exorcist. Zach makes an endless awkward speech and commercial!
Am I crazy or does it seem like the new episode scenes are more video and less film?
Now we’re back to Zach’s endless speech about playing fugitive. Then finally it’s over. The marrieds dance. This was genuinely a good two hours longer than it needed to be. Hehe Molly caught the bouquet and finds it hilarious. Matt and Amy both note how quickly Zach’s wedding is coming. Will this ever end?
