Little People, Big World New Episode September 1st, 2015

A new episode of Little People, Big World airs tonight, September 1, 2015 on TLC.

Episode review written by Rap541

================================

So I have finished packing for Dragoncon.  And now we’re having a candid talk with the Roloffs. The season started with a lengthy clip show and ends with what seems to be a clip show.
Not sure who the blonde chippy is, but she seems pleasant. Heh, no Jacob. Where’s Jacob? Amy vaguely doesn’t answer at all, and there’s utterly no explanation as to why he’s not there.
Jeremy is doing photos and Audrey is thinking of writing and have moved to Bend. And now we’re into clips of Matt delighting in how it was raining on the wedding day. It’s interesting that Matt has Jer and Auj on his couch, while Amy has Zach, Tori and Molly. There’s a lot of wedding talk and Amy expresses how she was impressed that Zach spoke well for a change. Zach and Tory are cute and giggly. Zach’s teeth look better. Matt insists he was totally freaked out during all those scenes where he was dancing with glee over the rain.
More clips of Tory and Zach arguing over the tent. Now we have the church being dragged around. The blonde asks how cool the farm was when they were kids. Honestly this is dull.
Tory is asked rather softly about the dwarfism and was she creeped out by the sex, etc etc etc. She says it doesn’t matter to her. Zach admits to being awkward with girls. Basically Zach feels like a stud with Tory. They want children. The blonde asks about the possibility of dwarf children. Tory admits to having some concerns and Amy bucks her up. Zach now says it will be three years to babytime for them. Tory is shocked! Amused and shocked. Jer and Auj decline to say if they’re pregnant and Auj keeps her hand firmly on Jer’s crotch for a lot of the talk. Jer is wearing some sort of weird leggings. Molly has a boyfriend.
Someone asks about raising average size kids. Auj’s hand is still in Jer’s  lap. Amy blah blahs about raising kids, the kids blah blah about having little parents.
Now we’re showing clips of the divorce talk. Yup Auj has her hand on Jer’s crotch. All the makeup is really well done, btw. Now clips of the pumpkin salsa and the mud run.  And now clips of Matt on his mechanical penis aka the track hoe. Matt’s latest project is a giant concrete pumpkin, which may be Amy’s idea… that she got from James and the Giant Peach. The blonde notes that the projects cause friction. Amy notes they cost money. Auj’s hand is on Jer’s crotch. Amy notes that the real problem is that Matt’s projects overtake everyone else’s life. Matt pretends to quit the interview.
Now we have Matt and Amy next to each other on the couch and the blonde is digging in her claws into the divorce. Matt notes that the show is the twins life that they don’t know anything else… which is odd that Molly and Jacob aren’t included in that. Matt and Amy both insist the show was always about education. Apparently the farm was a sty when they bought it. Matt still insists the western town and pirate ship were entirely for the kids and not as attractions for the paying customers and apparently Matt has forgotten some of his other interviews. Amy nicely articulates her problems with the projects, namely that Matt insists and overrides her and there’s never time or resources for anyone but Matt. Now clip shows of Matt and Amy bickering. Matt loves the cameras. Matt insists they don’t argue much despite the whole clip show of the arguing. Amy notes she can’t answer without actively disagreeing with Matt publicly and doesn’t.
Also they now say they knew each other for 14 days before marrying. What attracted them to each other? Amy says his creativity, Matt doesn’t really answer. Amy says they lived separate lives. The blonde goes for the empty nest comments. Amy is all “Matt still has his hobby, the farm” and how she has been feeling lost. She does give some good advice to the rare stay at home moms that they should really consider their resumes. Amy is doing the vast majority of the talking. God is this really two freaking hours long?
Are they weirded out that Tory is average height? Nope, not at all. The blonde harps on how alone Amy is in the house now. So now we’re on clips of the divorce. The blonde pushes them to admit how sad they are, and they basically dance around, with Amy getting stuck with most of the talking. It is acknowledged that Amy had to tell the kids alone. Blonde asks Matt how he feels about Amy being obviously saddened. He basically says its easier to be separated. What if Matt offered to come back, Amy? Amy is willing to try. Matt is all “she’ll yell at me” and makes a joke. Essentially he finds it easier to be separate. Blonde asks the obvious, was it the show? Matt categorically denies it, and Amy gets all judgy about other couples. Matt basically says he’s too awesome and wears people out. Blonde really seems emotionally invested in talking Matt and Amy into getting back together.
Now funny clips. Blonde is all “You dating??” and Amy is all “Matt’s dating” while Matt denies it. Blonde again harps on how alone Amy is. Amy regrets things, particularly how they didn’t work on their lives. Matt has NO regrets. Amy is clearly irritated by this answer. Blonde wonders if Matt wasn’t showing his wife enough love. Amy answers for him. This is mostly the Amy show. She hopes there’s grandkids and a successful business and that they don’t lose the farm.
Now we have the marrieds and more clips of the show. God, really I don’t care about Zach’s suit and Jeremy’s obsession over dressing Zach. Zach is interesting in how he acknowledges that he probably didn’t have it as bad as other little people… This is so dull. Also none of the marrieds are articulate at all. I must say Audrey, with the lipstick toned down, is much prettier. Also no one seems anxious to get knocked up.
Will the divorce angst ever end? Clips of divorce angst. Amy basically refuses to answer real questions about the divorce. Matt says nothing at all.  Molly and Zach note that Mom and Dad were boiling for years. Auj has her hand back on Jer’s crotch as Jeremy waxes on how he and Auj implemented “something” to help their marriage.  Auj says they ask each other questions which isn’t that bad of an idea but um… Jeremy notes how it defuses things that would have others been gigantic huge fights. Huh…

Now we have old clips… Oh look Matt pratting about how awesome he is. Jeremy sagely notes that the farm will heal his parents and Auj has her hand on Jer’s crotch again. Now Tory is doing it a bit to Zach. And then it ends. And I need bed because I have places to be!

"Interview" questions. It's not worth watching if they don't ask:

Jeremy, what do you think of your brother Jacob rejecting Jesus?

Jeremy, do you indeed believe as your pastors do, that gay people are broken and perverted and should pray to be cured?

Matt, Jacob has tweeted he got fucked out of his money from the show. Is he right, why or why not?

Amy, what do you think of Jacob saying you forced him to participate in the show for your ratings?

Ashley said...

Jacob is missing from this "interview"! This just got a lot less interesting!

"Nothing is off limits"...HAHAHAAHA!

Ashley said...

They spend a total of 28 seconds talking about Jacob then moved onto Jeremy and Audrey. And nothing substantial said about jacob. Sure, nothing is off limits!

Denise said...

Disappointing. They totally avoided the real issues with Jacob.

Brandon said...

I would like to know if it was Jacob's choice to boycott this interview (in which case he probably shouldn't be wanting more money) or if the intentionally excluded him?

Kaitlyn said...

Molly has a boyfriend they hide on the show..some reality show, lol

Greg said...

Amy came off as a bitch with that. "I don't like where this question is going"...and it gets dropped like that. So much for a hard hitting interview. All because Jeremy said why not to projects? I guess they need to manufacture tension since they ignore the real stuff.

Anonymous said...

This family makes me ill. Phony and egomaniacs. Too scared to show who they all really are. Not my type of Christians. I believe God loves all..gay, straight, black, white.

Abby said...

LOL! Matt didn't even mention Jacob when he was talking about how they are focusing on the kids now. At least he's dropping the BS lip service for Jacob.

We're focusing on the kids starting their own lives now. Jeremy and Audrey, Zach and Tori starting their lives together. We're focusing on Molly finishing college and starting her life...so that's what's important to us..."

No Jacob! LOL!

Paula said...

I didn't like the interviewer. Far too much focus on Zach and Tori and not enough on Jeremy and Audrey. There should have been more Audrey. The best part was Jeremy and Audrey opening up about what they have learned from counselling and what they do every Sunday to make sure they have a healthy marriage.

Peter said...

Why do these people even have a show?

A "reality show" where they don't reveal anything about themselves. A "reality show" where the people want to be "private".

Amy was such a bitch with her "We keep it private, you people don't need to know everything that goes on, that's not your business". Then stay off TV you celebrity whore! And Jeremy's arrogance along the same lines with his "It's in how we just answered that question".

Jocelynn said...

No mention of God in the entire "interview". The closest they came to saying anything was Jeremy (and then Molly agreeing with Jeremy) that they don't agree with divorce.

The total dismissal of Jacob in the first 30 seconds was interesting but not surprising. A fluff statement about Jacob spending time with his dog and Zach saying "Jacob is doing much better".

Peter, I agree with you. I am put off with how defensive the Roloffs are on "keeping things private". We want to be on a show about our lives, we want you to watch and say our show is great, but don't expect us to tell you anything real.

That's fine. I understand that. But then stay off television and earn money some other way.

Kelsey said...

TLC's commercial at the end said LPBW returns in the spring. Do they already know that either Audrey or Tori are pregnant?

Ecossais said...

Paula - it wasn't about Audrey!

Natalie said...

What's the verdict. What was the real reason Jacob wasn't present for this interview? They didn't trust him? Or he refused because he knew it would be fake? But if he refused, then he shouldn't be talking about being screwed out of money when he doesn't even do the filming with the rest of them.

IsPansy said...

Jake didn't tweet about the money until after this was filmed. He was on very little this year and maybe his parents were respecting his wishes.
I'm glad they talked to Tori and Zach and asked some of the questions they did. I love that Zach is so voluble now. he's really bloomed since Tori.
Why was Jeremy wearing Audrey's jeans?

Lizzie said...

In watching the Conversation special, I saw how totally contemptuous Amy is toward Matt. Even when he talked, she gave a look full of contempt as though he were so stupid in EVERYTHING he said. She contradicted everything he said and acted like his opinion didn't count. She would constantly interrupt him and contradict him..

I thought she was so hard-hearted and ungrateful when he was asked if he ever did anything for Amy and he listed a couple of things as examples, and she rudely said, "You didn't do that for me, you did it for yourself or the family". The best she could do regarding the beautiful kitchen he gave her was " I don't have any complaints about that". She could have shown a little more appreciation than that.

I think she would be a hard person to live with as a wife. Sure, I can see her point about his doing projects without consulting with her until he already had the plan in motion, but I still believe she demeans him a lot. She doesn't show appreciation for him. If he has the money to do his projects, why not? Let him show his creativity. That's what he enjoys for heaven's sake!

Ashley said...

Ispansy, I agree about Zach. He seems to have gained a lot of confidence. But I'm not sure that's as great of a thing as they present it as. I could be wrong, but I have this feeling that Zach is as much of a jerk as Jacob can be online and that Jeremy is off line when he's not getting caught, but Zach just stays off public social media so people don't see it. I have this feeling that Zach "having more confidence" could really just mean he is more arrogant now.

What are you suggesting about Jacob's tweet coming after this was filmed? I think we all know even if it was before they weren't going to ask them any hard questions. They didn't ask them about stuff Jacob has said before. Religion, the show being fake, the drugs, etc.,

Anonymous said...

I think Audrey was trying to stir up some pregnancy rumors the way she kept crossing her arms infront of her stomach and how she moved them awkwardly infront of her when the interviewer asked her if there was some news she'd like to share (when referring to who is going to have children first). Thought it was a rude, unhonest interview. Lots of questions thats were repetitive and just not what people are looking for. Also the level of arrogance was at its peak with this family.

Stop It, Please said...

Tedious is the best word I can come up with to describe the "Bigger Conversation" special - not worth 2 hours.

But whether intended or not, the staging really showed off what has been clear for years on this show. There is a Matt faction which is only Matt, Jeremy and (the really aggressively overly made up) Auj.

Then there is the Amy faction with the rest of the "real" family of Molly, Zach, and Tori.

And the kid who has been ignored for years (remember when Amy declared herself an empty nester while Jake was still living at home)was not present at all.

That sums up the entire Roloff story in one tableau.

Matt said...

Easy to see how Amy and Matt just grew apart, as they had not invested enough in each other to remain married after the kids all left home. It happens to many of us.

Hard to listen to Amy be so condescending towards Matt.

Nice to hear them admit to still loving each other, as there is no hatred--just not enough interest in the other's life.

Interesting to hear Zach's real quick answer in the beginning regarding Jacob, that, "...he's doing better."

I think Matt is insensitive toward Amy and her desires in life.

I love the show...for some reason... but I nearly shut it off about 5 times last night, not being able to stomach the look from Amy and the attitude.

Note to self--Be nicer to your wife.

Sherri said...

This was such a depressing show. Amy appeared very angry because she believed that Matt already had girlfriends lined up. She doesn't seem to have any confidence in her ability to meet someone new. I don't know why the interviewer kept harping on the divorce when it was obvious that the kids didn't want to voice their real feelings. The way that Zach nodded to Jeremy to handle delicate questions made it clear that they decided beforehand what would be said to the viewers. I really don't want to watch next spring's episodes if the tension among the family members remains this strong.

Hey, did anyone catch whose idea the cement pumpkin was? It was really unclear.

Billy Bartlittle - PA.

Why did it seem that Matt and Audrey were in pain the entire interview?
Thank goodness for Zach and Torey. (sp)
Those two kids are real.
Other than Molly, the rest seem stunned when their feet are held to the fire.

IsPansy said...

Ashley,
All I meant was that they couldn't as about the money tweet because it hadn't happened yet. TLC isn't going to put a real interviewer to work on the Roloffs, especially now that the Duggars have left such a huge hole in the schedule. Frankly if the Duggars scandal hadn't happened I think this would have been the LPBW finale.
The Roloffs will never allow the pointed questions we all want answered including Jake, religion and who left who in the divorce. They are one of the few reality families who have actually managed to have some private life during the run of their show.

I think Audrey is racing to get pregnant to beat out Tori for first grandchild. I also think Tori and Zach don't care and will have kids when they're ready. Too bad no one asked why Jeremy and Audrey returned to Oregon.

I'm glad they concentrated on Tori and Zach since their wedding was the major plot point this season.

Amy's "contempt" may well tell us who left. That and the comment that Matt "has people" he's seeing. Right now she may be bitter but in the end she's far more likely to have a happy second marriage.

THAT'S insulting to the viewer. . .maybe the Christians can teach us how to pray for this shows demise . . .no bigger sham ever existed, even in tv land.. .

The Roloffs. Ugly family. Every word spoken, a lie. Now that the family dog is dead, can't think of a single nice thing to say about them. No one works. Con the public. What is there to like?

Armenia said...

Anonymous, thank you. She's always trying to do something to get the "Look at me! Look at me!" thing... It's so obnoxious it makes me sick. The arrogance in the room was cringe worthy.

I would loooooove it if we could stop talking about Jacob's disturbing ex girlfriends and talk about the honkers on his new girl.

Jacob sure knows how to pick them.
Well or at least he learned.

Laura F. said...

Did anyone else think Aimee looked genuinely fucked up in her latest Instagram profile pic with the hat on her head?
She looks under the influence of drugs or something! LOL!

Brandon said...

Ispansy, they might have accidentally screwed it all up by avoiding Jacob on the show. Big mistake. Big bad timing issue.

They air the episode/interview that only Jacob is missing and they give a very weak and fluffy explanation for his absence.

The next morning TMZ picks up the story of Jacob's tweet complaining about getting ripped out of his money.

Now Jacob's absence on last night's show looks that much worse.

The family went completely downhill when Audrey got on the show... She's just full of herself and NOTHING ELSE. She doesn't even give a fuck about Jeremy...
Can't wait to see when she cheats on him for some like pastor or something hahahah

Muffin said...

Audrey Roloff is an arrogant, self absorbed little girl. She thinks because she's in love with Jesus that everyone should be in love with her. She thinks that since she had brought a couple people to know Jesus that she deserves this award. News flash, Audrey, Jesus brought people to him by LOVING THEM. The fact that Audrey and Jeremy and the whole Roloff family turn their nose up to people who aren't Christian. Well you think that's going to make them want to follow you, or the lord? No. With your nose stuck up in the clouds and your head so far up your ass how do you expect anyone to feel welcome or loved by you? I don't really understand. Same with the Christians on this site. If Jacob was ever going to decide to turn to Jesus and surrender, you REALLY think he wants to now? After the way these so called "Christians" have treated him? No. Audrey is supposed to lead by example. "Seeking to bear his image, not my own"... Ah okay, so his image, by looking at Audrey...
1. Have fake hair. Extensions and make sure to tame your hair if you have naturally very curly hair. Your natural hair is disgusting so you must do your best to change it and make it look perfect.
2. Just pound on the makeup. Especially eye makeup. Wear a lot of that so people will know you are serious about your appearance. We shouldn't be able to see any of your natural eye shape, just cake that shit on.
3. Buy the most expensive brand name clothes that they have. Preferably companies who's cheapest dress retails for $88.00. That's exactly what I want. The more expensive the better. Also, don't associate with people who shop at poor stores. They're too poor for us.
4. Exclude people and don't talk to people unless their pretty, rich, or skinny. It's not what we do. Understand?

Okay... NOW that I know what Jesus was like. all thanks to Audrey.

Fred said...

Neither of those girls actually want kids or care to have kids they just want to beat the other to it. Lmao
Imagine Audrey being a mother... Oh god

Not surprised said...

Amy married the first guy she met and knew essentially nothing about him. Would YOU marry Matt? A wife is a hindrance to his true joy. If he could marry land and adopt pumpkins as children it would have been done. It's kinda weird that we don't see his parents anymore. Was the last appearance when Matt caused brain trauma to Jacob with the trebuchet?

Money troubles said...

We finally found out that they have no money in the bank. A few slips of the tongue about losing the farm says it all. If Matt invested just a little of what they made the family would have been set. It makes the Jacob tweet even more relevant. If there is any money in a trust it's minimal at best.

So much for Matt being a good business man.

Rap541 states (about 10 times) . ."Auj keeps her hand firmly on Jer’s crotch" . . .we know they have seen a marriage counselor. . " Jeremy waxes on how he and Auj implemented “something” to help their marriage. . .Jeremy notes how it defuses things that would have others been gigantic huge fights." THEN "Auj has her hand on Jer’s crotch again. Now Tory is doing it a bit to Zach" . . Methinks Jer is now the victim of chronic handjobs . .. Maybe Tory agrees . . .

Nancy said...

Money Troubles...you actually believe the stuff about "Oh no, we might lose the farm"?? I think you're very naive. It is a plot device that they throw out about 4 times a season.

The way to tell it's not real is by the very fact that it's on the show. Amy wasn't kidding when she got all defensive and said people don't need to know about their personal lives (despite her being a career reality tv show star). If it was real they wouldn't be talking about it, just like they don't talk about Jeremy's racist words or Jacob's drug use or anger about money. If it's real, it won't be on the show unless it is so big they can't avoid mention it (like the divorce).

Zippy said...

If I've learned anything from the show it's that little people are conniving and pass it on to their children.

IsPansy said...

Tori does want babies. She said so several times, Zach has backpedaled since the wedding and wants more time alone with his wife.

Nancy, your telling people who disagree with you they are naive has gotten old. It is very possible that Matt is talking about losing the farm because it's going to have to go in the divorce, or Amy's going to try and take it. Or Matt really has spent all the show money and is now overextended. It's all possible. So unless you are the Roloff's accountant yours is just an opinion and not any better or worse than anyone elses.

No! said...

If Jeremy became a father I'd seriously consider a call to social services. Unless the kid is born with a mirror for a face there's no way it would be looked at.

Truth said...

I tend to believe it. The spending can't last forever. There are two households to pay for. Probably four now. Little people aren't the "freak of the week" for TLC so there is no way Matt is making what he once did.

k Has c said...

Well atleast when the money is gone they can sell their fleet of cars, trucks, vintage cars etc etc....hey matt--- i'd buy 1 of your mules but just 1... thats all my 2acre place could handle :-)! I don't see how they will keep it together once TLC walks away and it will happen-as all reality shows bite the dust at some point. That lil' patch of punkins cant keep them ALL afloat.

Itsme23 said...

I really agree with Kaitlin's comment above. Something that stays on my mind; do you remember the scene when Jacob was leaving home and Amy yells to him while he was driving away "do you need any toilet paper?". That's a weird thing to say. Was she implying in a way that we wouldn't know that she was implying to him that he was full of sh@@?

Owen said...

Muffin is spot on about Auj. She grew up as spoiled as can be and her ways have not changed a bit since jumping into the Roloff fame. It will be interesting to hear what they give as the reason for the move to Bend. I'm sure it won't be that they couldn't make it in the big city and their income from wine, photos and blogging could barely cover the rent. I doubt also that we'll hear that Bend is where daddy's vacation home is and are moving there because they need to be closer to both their parents' wallets. From what I've heard Auj's family is very well off and might even be wealthier than the Roloffs. I suppose that means it doesn't matter what either one of them do with their lives because they'll never know what it means to struggle to support themselves independently. Everyone here except for Anne and the loons can tell they are struggling so hard to try and be relevant when they don't have much to offer other than pitching overpriced products for a penny on the dollar.

Candy said...

Exactly. She may be doing gods work by promoting looks and material things. That is not the God I believe in. Thanks but no thanks saint Auj!

Anonymous said...

Who are you to judge how other people spend or earn their money. Its really no one's business. Everyone has different struggles and issues to deal with, doesn't make your problems more important than anyone else's.

Tdearles24 said...

This interviewer couldn't stop pushing for a gigantic pity party! Ugh!
Amy never gives one single inch!
Glad the focus was on Zach and Tori's relationship and not on Jer and Auj's "entrepreneurial futures" lol.
All I can say is I think Auj looked so needy while she was molesting Jeremy, at one point he put his hand up to his mouth to laugh and she grabbed it and pulled it down into her lap. As if she's so scared he might see her for who she really thinks she is, that she must be in actual physical control of his environment at all times or the facade will start to fade. Wow.

Tdearles24 said...

And did anyone notice how unabashedly Jeremy spoke about how people just automatically looked up to him over Zach, he actually said and I quote "when you think of Jer and Zach, it's not just like there's Jer, then Zach follows"! Gag!!!!! While that may be true, it just comes off sounding so self-aggrandizing and hurtful! I do intentionally look at all of the "stuff behind the scenes" Jer cuz I'm always hoping that there's a personality that's an antithesis to yours.

Who thinks Auj and Jer moved into her daddy's house in Bend?

Ecossais said...

That might be a reasonable assumption Anonymous.

Neither of them has a job. I think Jeremy is a good photographer but he hasn't been anywhere long enough to establish a businesa/clientele (whatever happened to his video business partner?) so unless Jeremy, unlike Jacob, has a trust fund or got lots of money from TLC or Audrey is making lots of money from her website I don't see how they can afford food, two cars and rent or mortgage on a nice property in a place like Bend.
Audrey says it has a garage and lots of room for entertaining.

Ecossais said...

@David

Like so many Roloff things this is being hyped to the max.
I doubt that the trip to the trade show with all Matt's drama (if this doesn't sell we could lose the farm)and Matt and Amy "selling" the product to the store manager has much to do with it.
The stuff is made, bottled and distributed by Beaverton Foods - a major "private label" manufacturer in Hillsboro and the Roloffs will get a percentage.

Snickerdonts said...

No bet. Worst case they got a not so little house nearby. Jeremy has an umbilical unrivaled. NASA is jealous. When Matt plays the death card for the thousandth time and finally kicks the bucket I think we'll see a truly horrible side of Jeremy. His only cheerleader and the person that shields him from any responsibility will be gone. The world is going to crush him.
