Congratulations to Zach and Tori. I wish them well, may they always let Jesus be the focus.

Is the baby a little person or regular size?

Shelby said...

Well, does it have dwarfism???

Rap541 said...

It hasn't been stated yet. There's a chance they may not be certain yet. More likely, TLC/production has asked them not to announce it yet.

PJ said...

Congratulations Tori and Zach. He's a real cutie!

Angela said...

Personally I think it is typical Tori to not saying anything about Dwarfism after getting everybody wondering about it by talking about it.

Just like what she did with Sully. She is such an immature tease. She has a lot of growing to do if she wants to be a good mother.

Rap541 said...

Personally Angela, I think you're just looking for reasons to be pissed because Audrey isn't having the first grandchild. :)

They may not know yet, and production is very very likely controlling when that info gets out.

I think it's very normal - if they know the child has dwarfism - to blare it out because nothing says "in poor taste" like "Here's our baby! And HERES WHATS WRONG WITH IT!!!!"

Dwarf or average height, while it would be nice to know, we'll find out soon enough. Angela, do you think you're doig right by Jesus by being the first person to openly bitch Tory out? Please tell me you think Jesus is working his will thru your ugly posts about a new mom.

As for growing up? All new parents need to do it. I'm personally waiting to hear Audrey and Jeremy have a real, actually serious talk about how they're going to afford a baby if the show is cancelled since neither of them work outside the show. Heck, at least Zach owns his home, and Tory has a job with health care... Not like some soon to be parents we all know...

Congrats, Zach and Tory! And I like the name Jack Roloff :)

PJ said...

Talk about immature Angela. Tori and Zach have a right to privacy. No matter what they do or say your lot finds something to bit*h about.

and Shelby that is uncalled for.

rainclouds said...

He is average sized. You can tell by looking at his head. Achon babies have distinct features.

Melissa said...

You can tell the baby is not dwarf because of how happy Tori looks. She was obviously very concerned.

Despite what Zach said, I think he was hoping for a dwarf baby because he would have a connection and bond with the child that Tori wouldn't.

Toke A Hontas said...

I really got the impression that dwarf or not, they would be thrilled when Jack arrived and regardless of any problems they are going to give him as normal life as possible. Congratulations to them all!

Maddox1 said...

LP or not he's adorable....congrats Tori & Zach!!

Anonymous said...

Angela- you seem rather entitled. You don't have a right to know every little detail just because someone is on TV. Tori posted the baby's height. This is average size, in fact most newborns are 19inches. Google it and do some research

Nancy said...

He won't admit it, but I think Zach is disappointed the baby is not like him. The kid will grow up thinking dad is weird and mom is normal. How will Zach have a normal relationship with his son when his son will know dad (Zach) is weirdly different while Mom is normal. I bet the boy will want to go to the store with mom and not dad.

I agree with the previous comment that Zach was hoping for a dwarf. He really wanted to be able to have something to bond with the boy over that Tori didn't have.

Peter said...

Toke, give him as normal a life possible? You're smoking what Jacob has.

Zach and Tori are reality show whores and have pimped out every bit of this pregnancy. They are going to humiliate this poor kid by putting him on the show as a baby. If TLC is still willing to shell out the money, in 5 years, they will pimp out his childhood as well.

NOW member said...

Nancy, your usage of the words "weird" and "normal" are quite offensive in every way you applied them. Zack is not in a contest with his wife and the mother of his son for "top dog bonding" - what kind of perverse mind dreams up something like that?

Happy said...

Melissa, Tory might look happy not because the baby isn't a dwarf, but rather because she had her first baby. In addition, what esteemed institution of medical learning did you attend that allows you to make a diagnosis based on facial expressions?

Nancy said...

Now Member, I am speaking truth. Even taking the show with a grain of salt, it is so obvious Zach was preparing for "Tori doesn't understand, but I do" dynamic if they had a dwarf child.

Now it's the same as Zach always had. His son will think he's weird and will be made fun of because of Zach. You don't think a child with 1 normal parent and 1 dwarf parent, is going to rather be seen by strangers and friends with the normal parent? What world are you living in?

I think Zach would have LOVED having a connection to his son that Tori couldn't understand, but now it's the opposite.

k has c said...

Congrats Tori and Zach! Jackson is A Cutie Pie!!!

Rap541 said...

Is it even established that the child is a dwarf?

I'm genuinely curious since all this debate is pointless until it's known for certain...

NOW member said...

Nancy, I'm living in a world where "normal" is defined as "whatever that means". Your presumption that a child will find his parent "weird" due to stature is disturbing, as is your conclusion that Zach needs to "one up" his wife in bonding with their son is as well...and cruelly cynical.

DJ said...

Baby is not a dwarf. Tori is happy.

Anon15 said...

They lied on the show to make it sound like the baby was going to have dwarfism. The "dramatic" scene where Zach and Tori tell Amy that the baby is measuring below normal was all a lie.

Tori is very manipulative.

PJ said...

Tori does not edit the show, nor does she have edit approval. Matt does.

Sara said...

Angela, you really are an asshole.

And don't even get me started on Melissa's "You can tell the baby is not dwarf because of how happy Tori looks."

Do you two even know any parents of kids with different or special needs? No?? Not surprised.

Melissa said...

Sara, stop being politically correct. Tori clearly did not want her baby to have dwarfism. People have have babies who have diseases or special needs are not thrilled that the child has an illness or a disease. That does not mean they don't love the child, but they aren't happy that the child has something that will impact his/her whole life. Tori is clearly happy that the child is healthy and does not have dwarfism.

Rap541 said...

Now personally, I hope the kid doesn't have dwarfism simply because there are some health concerns with it and it stacks the deck against a child even if its not the worst health issue a child could have.

But that said, I *really* don't think anyone from the family has given the official yes or no on whether the kid is a dwarf, and I have seen equally good arguments that the kid is a dwarf (namely the shape of the head and the bridge of the nose)

So until we know (and if the people who are insisting the baby is average height have special info, why not share?) why not let it rest? The kid is healthy otherwise and Zach and Tory seem happy regardless. We'll know soon enough.

Julia said...

You can tell from the pictures they've posted of the baby that it is not a dwarf.

Rap, they aren't going to officially say because they are all about teasing for a an episode plot. The kid's life is a plot for the gravy train.

Rap541 said...

Julia - maybe.

But in all honesty, on a different board? The general consensus based on the picture? Is that Jackson is a dwarf.

I personally don't know - there's a different picture in People that makes me think the kid's head isn't that prominent.

I agree btw that by the choice of signing on for the show, the decision to tell the public is in the hands of TLC, and not the parents. Personally, I bet TLC was hoping for a dwarf baby.

Debbie said...

I think it is really shameful for Zach and Tori not to disclose whether Jackson is a dwarf. He is their baby. They can say whether he has dwarfism or not. Don't hide behind TLC. They might have a preference not to say, but Zach and Tori are free to say if their baby is a dwarf baby.

I'm not impressed with Tori as a mother. If he was a dwarf, that would make Tori keeping it a secret as an episode arc absolutely disgusting. It would be like she was too ashamed to admit it.

Zach and Tori weren't very good dog owners and they aren't give me much hope for their parenting skills. They had a poorly behaved dog and died prematurely, the dog was ill and they were too obtuse to notice and left on a sunny vacation.

Now they are using their baby's health to be cliff hanger for their television show. Very tacky Zach and Tori.

Rap541 said...

Of course that they might be violating contractual obligations is not an excuse, huh Debbie?

But before you answer, please do REMEMBER how precious Audrey and Jer are often refusing to stand up for their faith because they are such good do-bees for TLC, it's just inconceivable that they'd ever put their faith above their contractual obligations.

The dog died of fast moving cancer. Does this mean you're no longer blaming *Isobel* for the dog's death?

And since Matt is a producer for the show, I believe it's Matt cheerfully allowing his grandson's health to be used for ratings.

Rap541 said...

And FYI Jer and Auj have moved to some new place and are leaving that to be a cliff hanger on their TV show. I trust you find that tacky? That Jer and Auj aren't totally honest and don't bray information out because they're more concerned about keeping secrets for the show than you know, letting you know stuff?

Katie said...

I actually cannot believe that some of you think you have a right to know whether this baby has dwarfism. Who the hell cares? It seems to me that it's a happy, healthy baby, and that's all that you need to know. If Jackson does have dwarfism, it is their right to keep that to themselves. They are enjoying their new baby. Let them enjoy the baby without criticizing them for not confirming or denying that their baby is normal sized. Regardless, they don't owe you anything, including an explanation of their baby's medical records.

To all those saying Tori will be a bad mum, you don't know Tori, you know what you've seen on tv. For all you know, she could be the best damn mum to ever live. And has anyone taken the time to consider that Tori was worried about her baby having dwarfism due to the health challenges that come alongside it. Whether the baby has dwarfism or not, I'm sure that what really matters to Tori and Zach is that their baby is healthy.

Also I just realized that there are some comments about how the baby will be teased because of Zach's height or will think his dad is weird. Apparently you're forgetting that both of Zach's parents have dwarfism, but all three of his siblings do not. Zach's height is not going to matter to his child as long as he loves and supports Jackson for his life.

I actually can't even believe that this is a topic of conversation.

Let's also remember that Matt, Jeremy and family let their dead dog Rocky lay outside while they filmed it for an episode. I'd say that he was laying there along time so it could be reshot due to the lack of emotion Jeremy showed when he walked in and said "Rocky is dead". Or Jeremy is just didn't care that the family dog died and it was real time, but the timing would be too coincidental.

Just because they chose to film a show doesn't mean they have to tell everybody everything the minute it happens. I feel the people belittling Tori and Zach are only doing so in hopes of making Jeremy me Audrey look better. Keep trying.

Rap541 said...

I'm not impressed with Tori as a mother.

Ah, what every mother of a four day old newborn likes hearing! Debbie, is this Christian kindness? Calling out a new mother as a shit mother and a shit pet owner?

Debbie - do you agree with your Christian buddy Paula that this baby is ALREADY a shitty Christian?

And remember, when anyone says anything critical of Audrey and you rush to complain how unkind it is... I *will* be reminding you how you were proud as punch to be the first Christian to call Tory Roloff a bad mom based on a photograph. :)

You do understand you are setting the example for how *Audrey* will be treated, right? You've made it very clear that its Christian to judge and hate and you've given us a lovely example. A lovely example that we may all follow, since you, Debbie, have shown us how Christians act, so I trust you want us all to treat Audrey with the Christian attitude you treat Tory with, right?

You do want us to follow YOUR example as a Christian, right Debbie? And you do think you were acting as a Christian in your post, correct? :)

O.M.G that you think they were bad dog owners, really??? They took that dog everywhere they went & I'm quite sure were devastated when he passed. And not disclosing whether their child has dwarfism or not is their business. I'm sure you all will have ample time to critique everything about him, he is a newborn baby for crying out loud. I do believe T & Z will make great parents, hopefully there will be pics on the web for you all to find something wrong with, like the way he's fastened in a car seat to how Zach holds him.

Sara said...

It is none of anybody's god damned business if this child's DNA makes him short or tall. And judging them as parents based on if they have divulged private medical info within *days* of the child's birth is ridiculous.

I don't think her looking happy had anything to do with it. She would have loved the baby and be smiling regardless.

M said...

Well zach's 3 siblings of average height seem to be just fine with their LP parents and brother.

She's been a mother for what a weekend? How did she become a bad mother already?

Also the dog had cancer. That's not in Tori or Zachs control.

New baby Jackson is the cutest. Audrey is all like " look at me in my Always More hat which you can buy now while I hold my adorable nephew." I could have done without the Audrey product placement, but Jackson is beautiful and Tori is really so naturally beautiful.

Kelly said...

I can't believe there's still people doing the "it's none of your business" when it comes to Zach and Tori making the health of their child a NAH NAW NAH game.

If they want privacy, stay the heck off Instagram. Wondering if the baby has dwarfism is a natural question. Leave it to Tori to tease, just like she did with Sully.

Anon, yes bad dog owners. I hope you don't really believe that Sully got cancer in a matter of 5 days while Zach and Tori were in Hawaii?

The point that people are making is that pet owners who love their pets are attentive and can pick up when their pet is not well. If they had paid more attention, they would have been able to see that Sully was not well. Instead, while he was dying, they went on a vacation.

Kelly said...

Jackson is not a bad name in my opinion, but I don't like Jack which is what the boy will become.

Rap541 said...

Kelly, please go look at some boards about Swiss Mountain Dogs and cancer.

Here's a link.
http://www.bmdinfo.org/Health/Histiocytic_Diseases_of_the_Bernese_Mountain_Dog.php

Here's an excerpt:

" Jay Jay leaped and bounded, chased squirrels and chipmunks, flopped in mud puddles and howled his beautiful songs for me the picture of glowing health. On August 12 our world crashed in on us. We went out for our early morning walk with Jay Jay bouncing and dashing about as usual. As he dashed back to check in with me, tongue lolling out the side of his mouth, I saw he had no color in his tongue or any of his mucous membranes. End of walk, called the vet and took him in. Nothing obviously wrong except his pallor. Took blood for analysis. Vet called next day to tell me his platelet count was so low he could spontaneously hemorrhage at any time. On August 14 we went to Tufts where I left Jay Jay (still happy and bouncy) for further tests. Abdominal x-rays showed an enlarged liver so an ultrasound and needle biopsy were scheduled for Friday August 15. The call and diagnosis devastated us malignant histiocytosis. We knew this was a death sentence. We opted for low level chemotherapy treatment to help him be more comfortable in the ensuing 4 - 6 weeks we thought we had. We visited Jay Jay that night. He greeted us with happy wags but during our hourlong visit he was tired and wanted to sleep, relaxing against us on the floor as we stroked all his favorite places. We left promising to visit the next day but that was not to be. After a comfortable night according to the vets and staff, his body just shut down. Jay Jay died about 9 the next morning. I still have a hard time with the fact that I was not with him at the end. Postmortem liver samples sent to UC Davis confirmed the malignant histiocytosis diagnosis. Bottom line, we went from an apparently healthy dog to a dead dog in four days and we lost him 17 hours after we received the diagnosis. Jay Jay was on a homemade all natural diet his entire life with us - from 5 months on. "

There's so many stories like that.

And I am pretty certain TLC is behind the lack of reveal. Funny how no one bitches how Jer and Auj don't start their mornings with their daily Bible read because "TLC wants itkept on the down low, they're still outspoken Christians except when on TV where they have the biggest audience".

Bullshit. My own vet didn't know his dog had bone cancer until Madison broke his leg. Some cancers are that fast moving and some animals are that good at covering. So stop talking like your some kind of expert when you're not.
And nobody gives a damn what YOU think of Jackson's name. He's not your kid or property.

Paula, cite your sources. I bet it's the bible, the same book that tells us that food falls out of the sky.

Rap541 said...

Interestingly, Audrey posted a picture of herself with the baby, more fully showing his head and toes, that she has since deleted. I personally didn't think the baby looked LP but I am a terrible judge - newborns look squishy and weird, but the picture and post are now gone.

Here's the text: "Getting to meet my precious nephew Jackson last Friday was one of those mountain peak moments!!! He is seriously the most beautiful newborn baby boy I've ever seen and I just want to keep on holding him :) We will continue to pray for you for the rest of our lives, Jackson and can't wait to see who you become! BIG congrats to Zach and Tori on beginning the parenthood journey! We can't wait to join you in a few months ;)"

The photo itself was Audrey holding the baby. Hardly offensive but now its gone. Since certain people are always quick to point fingers and take offense at the deletion of posts on social media, I think we all need to note that Audrey has deleted a post and per certain social standards, is now a LIAR WHO LIES.

Also, since the wording of the post can be construed as to imply that Jackson is LP (the emphasis on the word BIG, the "we'll always pray for you", this means Audrey is in cahoots with the attempt to mislead the audience and is in need of a chastising.

After all, if Audrey wanted privacy, she should have stayed off social media and leave it to Audrey to tease the audience with a post and then deleting it.

Right? let's hear it. :)

I trust this applies to Audrey and Jeremy and their refusal to discuss their religious views.

I mean, its shameful they won't publically disclose that they believe homosexuality is wrong per their religion. They are hiding behind TLC, correct? Because that's the excuse lways given, they are under contract and TLC says no so.. they're off the hook. But per Debbie, there is no longer any hiding behind that excuse. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but you know how a lot of people these days are actually picking the sex of their children via egg selection? I would not put it past Matt to suggest Zachary and Tori do the same and pick the embryo affected with achondroplasia. Not only does this give a story line, but gives them a show and income for years to come if people still care to watch.
As for Jeremy and Audrey, they will have a regular size baby, but pick a girl so it is a bit different. They probably had the baby forced on them by Matt so they would raise them close together and wouldn't that be cute? The twins raising the babies at the same, the audience will love it.RATINGS.
That's probably why Jeremy seems really thrilled these days. What a baby? My wife has to pay attention to someone other then me?
I could be wrong, but Matt playing Dr. Frankenstein is not much of a stretch.

Mittsigirl,
Well, I don't agree with most of Angela's comments because I am not a Christian, but someone else summed up the position on Tori and Zach's decision to use their son's possible medical problems as a means to make money very well.

People really condone it? What would you find distasteful? If they did a plot around "Does our son have cancer or not??? Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't! Tune in on Tuesdays in July to find out!

(I was going to use "Is he dead or is he alive" as an example, but the Roloffs already did that with wanting people to believe that Matt had a heart attack and died years ago....), but this is now Zach and Tori's decision and life.

And they're distasteful. The lack of pictures is obviously because they are using the kid's medical condition (dwarf or non-dwarf) as a ratings ploy.

It's terrible morals and ultimately it is Tori and Zach's decision.
They deserve every bit of criticism in this regard.

Rap541 said...

Peter - as long as you're condemning all the reality whoring, I am in agreement.

I don't really care all that much if Zach and Tory have a dwarf child or an average height child. I would say keeping it under cover isn't the same as keeping a cancer diagnosis up in the air as a cliff hanger because of this one fact.

Dwarf or average height - there's no question of the child's health. The audience has no reason to worry about the child. I'm curious, I won't deny that, but I have no worries about the kid. That's why, while I find it exploitive and distasteful (do note, bitchers, exploitive and distasteful is NOT a compliment) I don't find it as offensive as Matt's faux heart attack, the trebuchet accident and followup, and Zach's surgeries being filmed for a paycheck.

You know who I currently respect? And hope to not be proven wrong on? Molly. She could have the pay check for being a reality whore, she could have her wedding televised on the farm for a nice pay day, she could join Jeremy and Zach at the lazy pig trough, crapping out babies for more episodes (and trust me folks, Jeremy and Auj will have Little Peculiar Dynamic *on display* for cash) and she's not.

And some small plus points to Caryn's ex-husband who got a court order disallowing the children from their marriage to go to Roloff Farms and be on camera.

Debbie - I trust you agree that Audrey is also SHAMEFUL?

Audrey participated in this farce. She put up a post that clearly showed the baby and then took it down because she was spoiling the TLC Story Line.

Debbie - this was wrong, right? Audrey was wrong and SHAMEFUL to participate. Don't let Audrey hide behind TLC - she might have a preference but she was free to speak and instead put up a post and then took it down.

I believe you have previously established that people who do this are ALSO LIARS.

Debbie - per your own definition and per her own *actions* - Audrey is a shameful liar for her willingness to lie publically and not stand up to TLC and tell the truth, correct?

Audrey is a SHAMEFUL LIAR! :)

Remember - She CAN NOT stand behind it being a TLC thing. She actively participated in the hateful coverup you publically called shameful and wrong. Audrey IS A SHAMEFUL LIAR!

Any disagreement is Christians lying to cover their asses.

Peter- When my child was dying of a rare cancer, and if I could have had the story televised for money, then I sure would have gone along with it. You see, I could have used the money to fly her to another country, to try a new treatment- that cost more money than I could ever imagine a treatment costing- to try to save her young life, then I would have. Call me whatever you want, but I would have had no trouble at all doing that. She fought as hard as she could, but never made it. So maybe I am not the right mother to address this issue.
